Yoga

Exams was a pretty stressful time for me and I didn’t always feel like sweating out my frustrations. So instead I used Amanda Bisk’s yoga videos to guide me through some yoga flows.

Not only did these yoga flows help me to relax and calm my mind, but they also helped me to improve my hamstring flexibility, which has always been a weakness of mine. I found that it also alleviated some of the pressure on my back and shoulders when sitting at a desk, as I have real trouble with this, often ending up in so much pain I struggle to write.

Now I know yoga is slow and can be boring, but I tend to do it while watching TV or a movie, so I don’t end up bored and this means I tend to finish the video too.

I think Amanda’s videos are amazing because she incorporates some strength training, but also each video has a different target for the session, like focusing on using the breath to lengthen your muscles or to loosen up the chest. I also love it because it gives some stretches that can be used outside the video too.

I think even if you think yoga is the worst, everyone should find some kind that suits them to help improve their flexibility and mental health.

Love Caite xx
